Billy Bragg: Rich Men Earning North of a Million

English sing-songwriter, Billy Bragg has always been a champion for working people and a supporter of the labor movement. In 1986 he wrote There is Power in a Union. The song's very first words encapsulate how powerful workers can be with solidarity:

There's power in a factory, power in the land
Power in the hand of the worker
But it all amounts to nothing if together we don't stand
There is power in a union

Bragg is at it again with a new song Rich Men Earning North of a Million, a response to Oliver Anthony's divisive viral song Rich Men North of Richmond. Bragg said since he heard Anthony's song, "The ghost of Woody Guthrie has been whispering in my ear. 'Help that guy out' Woody keeps telling me 'Let him know there's a way to deal with those problems he's singing about.'"

And Bragg indeed has a solution in this new tune.
