Boeing Machinists On Strike

For the first time in 16 years, Boeing Machinists are on strike. 33,000 Boeing workers organized with the International Association of Machinists (IAM) walked out at 12:01 am on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024. They are members of IAM District 751.

Workers authorized the strike by 96%, and rejected the contract by 94.6%. 

Boeing Machinists are fighting for higher wages, voting down a contract that offered a 25% raise over 4 years but revoked workers’ annual 4% bonus, putting the actual figure much lower than the company claimed. 

The strike is set to continue indefinitely, until workers win a fair contract with the wage increases they deserve. 

The strike force is the most powerful tool workers have to fight back against corporate greed. When workers show the boss their collective power, they win!
